St. Charles Fine Art Show Looks Ahead to 14th Year in 2012

The award-winning, highly regarded show features the work of 100 juried artists in various mediums including watercolor, oil, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, fiber, wood, and glass, which are exhibited and available for sale during the event. Located in the heart of beautiful Downtown St. Charles, along the Fox River, approximately 40 miles west of Chicago, there are many fine restaurants and shops, as well as numerous parks, theaters and activities.

Time of Event: Sat. 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sun. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Rain or Shine)
Location: Riverside Avenue (formerly 1st Avenue) between Route 64/Main Street & Illinois Avenue in St. Charles, IL
Admission: Free, with ample free parking in multiple city lots.

New Feature Tent

Be sure to visit the new FEATURE TENT, on Riverside Avenue, this year devoted to four of our Fox Valley Arts HALL OF FAME ARTISTS - Ed Cook, Ray Kobald, Stan Jorstad, and Delbert Peterson! Both nationally known, Mr. Cook, a former award winner at the St. Charles Fine Art Show, and Mr. Kobald, a former Judge at the show, will both have work on exhibit and for sale. Some of the work of Mr. Jorstad and Mr. Peterson will be on exhibit as well.


Free Trolley Rides

NEW things to look for! FREE TROLLEY RIDES! There will be a Historic Site DOWNTOWN Trolley running Saturday and Sunday afternoons starting at the Art Show site and traveling to Sculpture in the Park and Pottawatomie Park....and EVERYTHING in between! Guides will describe many of the historic buildings and residences on the ride, and you can "hop off" to shop, dine or explore and "hop" back on to get back to the Art Show!

We encourage you to be a part of the St. Charles Fine Art Show Purchase Award Program. By pledging to spend a minimum dollar amount at the show, you will receive special privileges before and during the show.

  • Admission to the invitation-only reception the Friday evening before the show, where you will have the opportunity to meet the artists and see a sample of their work.
  • Admission to the Purchase Award Sponsor tent during the two-day event, where you can relax and rejuvenate during show hours.
  • Individuals – suggested minimum pledge is $250
  • Corporations – suggested minimum pledge is $500

Applying to the show: Application to the St. Charles Fine Art Show is through Zapplication.org .

  • Jury fee is $35
  • Standard 12 X 12 Booth fee is $350
  • Application deadline is January 15th, 2012
  • Jury results will be available February 1, 2012.
  • Cash Awards for Merit totaled $3500 in 2011.
  • Purchase Award Sponsors purchased over $40,000 of art in 2011.
